50 years of Studierendenwerk Kassel - 50 years of welcome culture for students. We are looking forward to the start of the semester - to our students - and have been doing so for 50 years.
On October 15, 1971, we began our work at Studierendenwerk Kassel (which was still called Studentenwerk) - then as now with the mission of accompanying young people from the start of their studies to their successful graduation - so that studying is successful.
The best moment is when we get to meet new students from all over the world. Preferably in person, live and in color, but also online or via video.

Birthday cake in all open Mensas
Of course, a cake should not be missing on a round birthday. In all open Mensas of the Studierendenwerk Kassel there will be homemade birthday cake, free of charge - while stocks last.
October 15 - 22, 2021:
70s menu revival
During the anniversary week, typical favorite dishes and snacks from our early years in the 70s will be available in all open Mensas and cafeterias of the Studierendenwerk Kassel. October 15 - November 4, 2021:
Mensa-Hopper on Tour
Starting October 15, our Mensa Hopper will go on tour. As a contrast to the 70s menu with old acquaintances and surprising dishes, there will be varying street food, for example wraps, bowls, ramen or burritos with a colorful selection of toppings, all for the price of 3.50 euros, payable with the Campus Card. You can find out when and where the Mensa Hopper will be located in the tour plan.
By the way: Our Mensa Hopper got its name through a naming contest held by our Instagram community. We thank everyone who participated and congratulate the winners.

Touring Exhibition 50 Years of Studierendenwerk Kassel
The Mensa-Hopper is accompanied by a traveling exhibition showcasing the core concerns of five decades of Studierendenwerk Kassel:
On the Holländischer Platz campus in front of the Zentralmensa and in Witzenhausen in front of the Steinstraße Mensa (Kloster), we are looking back on 50 years of service for students in a permanent construction fence exhibition.
Anniversary Streetcar
With the colorful anniversary streetcar, we show what the Studierendenwerk has stood for since 1971: We are there for students in all situations of life and also an attractive employer with a wide variety of professions.
